Chromium Embedded Framework (CEF) and TestComplete

Question

Greetings Community,&nbsp;Starting from TestComplete 10.4, we officially support Chromium Embedded Framework!It means that you can now test 32-bit and 64-bit CEF-based applications.&nbsp;How to Set it UpYou need to prepare your tested application for testing. Once you do this, TestComplete will recognize it as Open.I recommend that you read the following articles that help you get started with testing CEF-based apps:   "Preparing CEF-Based Applications for Web Testing"   "Testing Web Applications"&nbsp;RequirementsSupported Framework Versions: CEF1&nbsp;and&nbsp;CEF3Required TestComplete Plug-Ins:   Web Testing   Chromium Embedded Framework SupportThe plug-ins are shipped with Web module.&nbsp;&nbsp;Good luck with your testing!

Currently TCs is lagging behind on supporting Cef by (almost) 6 versions!

To-date Cef ver. 57 are available -&gt;&nbsp;Chromium 57.0 / CEF 3.2987.1601(Chromium 57.0.2987.133)

TestComplete 12.30 should be able to test CEF versions up to 3.2883.1553 / Chromium 55. Not sure about the later CEF versions, but if you try and encounter any issues, please&nbsp;open a support ticket.

The documentation online for 12.30 says the following:
&nbsp;
Currently, the supported versions of CEF3 builds are 3.2623.1395 and earlier. If you use, NuGet or some other package manager to add CEF libraries to your application, make sure that the version of the CEF build within the package conforms to the version of CEF builds supported by TestComplete.

Perhaps the documentation needs to be updated?

Hey,&nbsp;I personally never tried to use Test Complete on Mobile App to-date. I am also relatively new to test complete (3 years of using it) - I suggest you can start with the online help documentation which contain Test Object for Mobile App&nbsp;https://support.smartbear.com/testcomplete/docs/reference/test-objects/controls/mobile/index.html&nbsp;and also articles about Android and iOS application can be found here:&nbsp;https://support.smartbear.com/testcomplete/docs/app-testing/mobile/android/index.html&nbsp;https://support.smartbear.com/testcomplete/docs/app-testing/mobile/ios/index.html&nbsp;It is critical to get the pre-requisites done as accurately as possible, so keep an eye and follow the exact instruction on the 'Preparing Android/iOS Application sections.&nbsp;Sorry couldn't help more. Although IT WILL BE A GREAT HELP for the community (and yourself) if you submit another subject on a new post - as this post is about desktop application.
