TestComplete node-locked license Issue

Dear TestComplete Support Team,

We have installed TestComplete 9 on one of our workstation(win7) and activated one node-locked license, then we deinstalled TC 9 because we want to downgrade it to TC 8.70, which is more suitable for our automated tests. But after we install TC8 on same workstation the node-locked-license cannot be found anymore, that we activated before.

I kindly ask you to help us with this issue, is the deactivation of license key only way to do or can you provide us a new license key?

    Licenses for TestComplete 8 and TestComplete 9 are different. If you still have a license for v. 8 (you can see it in your SmartBear Account), you can activate it. Otherwise, contact your account Manager or our Sales Team at sales@automatedqa.com.

    Hi Tanya, i need now your advise to restore my node-locked license.  the key has been used, and neither v.8 nor v.9 can be opened on the workstation. i just get deactivation guideline. should i follow the deactivation guideline and activate the key again? thanks.
