Regression Testing Problem in TestComplete

Hi sir,

I am very glad to introduce as a TestComplete Automation Tester. As i am working in a component company. We need to do more regression Testing. Large number of scripts are already recorded and now i need to do automation with latest assemblies. I replaced old assemblies and did automation. The scripts are running good. But there is no exact mouse action as like what actually we recorded.

(Note: There is no TestComplete Version Change. We are using the same version and also the same version IE browser)

I need a solution very urgently. Please respond me.

Thank You

  • Hello Yogeshwaran,

Describe your problem in detail. Answer the following questions:

    - What kind of application you are testing? Is it an "ordinary" web application, Silverlight, Flash, etc.? Specify the exact version of the technology (for example, Silverlight 4).

    - What TestComplete version are you using? The latest TestComplete version is 8.20.

    - What exactly action does not work as expected? Describe the expected and the actual behavior of TestComplete. Can you see the result of the problematic action in the Test Log? If you can, what is the content of its Message field (the Message column in the Test Log panel)?  Is it what you expect to see?

    - Is the problem reproducible if you record a sample test from scratch? If it is, pack the entire project suite folder along with the test logs and send it to us using the Request Support form. Otherwise, send us the original TestComplete project.
