Lost Objects in Name Mapping

Question

Good morning to everyone. I have a big problem with TestComplete. Recently I updated the license to the Pro one and I installed Intelligent Quality. Nevertheless I'm facing big problems in name mapping identification. When I write and try the test everything works but when I repeat the execution some elements don't work. If I update them sometimes they work and sometimes they don't. If I delete and re-add the objects that don't work very often they still don't work. The same thing happens when we turn off and then power on the pc. Very often happens that an updated or re-added element works in the first test execution but if I will retry immediately it does not work anymore. We were confident that Intellligent Quality would resolve it but it seems it does not. Which could be the cause of this big problem?

Hi Masha, sorry for the bad explanation. "They don't work" means that TC does not find them and the message that appears is:

"Unable to find the following object when executing..."

Reason

"The parent object was not found..."

We noted that this happens every time that we close and reopen the project of the software that we are testing.

Summarizing: we create a test on TC, everything works, we close our software project, we reopen it, we start again the test with TC and TC does not find some objects, always the same!

Sure! The technician told me that could happens that an object has a property, used for the mapping, that changes every time. In our case the property was the WndClass, in a point of the tree called wndAfx, that was defined by "Afx:" followed by a series of letters and numbers and at the end an * (ex Afx:00100CF0b*"). Deleting the series, so letting only Afx:*, the problem was solved

Ok. Can you post Object Spy from one of the parent objects when it's found and then reproduce the test where it isn't found and try Object Spy again and post that too?&nbsp; I want to see if Object Spy will see the parent even though the test is not.&nbsp;
