Visual Studio Integration licensing

Greetings,

We are thinking about having the developers run regression tests during off time and we are not sure about the Visual Studio Integration licensing.

With one TestComplete Enterprise license, there is TestComplete, TestExecute and the VS Integration.

For every developper can we install the VS Integration and acquire one TestExecute license. Said otherwise can we install VS Integration regardless of number of licences we have ?

The worst case scenario would be to have them start the tests from the command line but it is worth asking ;-)

Sincerely

  • Hi Simon,

To answer your questions about the licenses, there is no separate license for the VS integration. If you own TestComplete Enterprise, you can use the Integration feature. Therefore, the number of computers where you can integrate TestComplete into VS depends on the number of the TestComplete licenses your company has.

A bit offtop answer, but still...

Your worst scenario isn't that bad, since you can schedule test run once (including download latest script versions from version control) and they will not have to do anything at all, except for leaving their computers unlocked
