Newer versions, old license

Hello,

I work for a company that uses testcomplete and we have a question.

The problem is that the software was installed over 10 years ago and has been active on the same computer ever since (perpetual license key-based).

Because of the long period since it was installed, we are having difficulty finding the license information.

We would like to know if it is possible to update the software to a newer version using this same license, or if this license is only usable on the version we are already using (version 10.0.531.7).

Are testcomplete licenses valid for only one version? Is it possible to use a newer version with a perpetual license that is over 10 years old? Or does this version update depend on each license/customer?

Thank you.

  • The license restrict you to the version.
Annual maintenance renewal provides you access to support, regular updates, and new version releases.

As rraghvani stated, best to get in touch with SmartBear sales for a solution.
