Update TestComplete from version 8.7 to 9.0

Hi all,



I downloaded the TC9.0 version from my account page and installed it on the machine where currently TC8.7 is installed.



1. Should'nt the install shield recognize, that there is an older version of TC already installed?

2. When I start TC9.0, it is unable to find a license. Do I have to deactivate the license from TC8.7 and activate it for TC9.0? That would not be very comfortable!

    No, major versions are installed side-by-side.



    2. When I start TC9.0, it is unable to find a license. Do I have to deactivate the license from TC8.7 and activate it for TC9.0? That would not be very comfortable!
    TestComplete 8 and 9 licenses are different and independent of each other. To use TestComplete 9, you need to activate the v. 9 license key listed on your account page at http://my.smartbear.com.

    You should only deactivate the v. 8.7 license if you no longer intend to continue using it.
