TestExecute launching TestedApps from Network Location
I am trying to test an application on a VMWare VM.
I have a shared folder on the host which appears as a network drive to the vm client.
On TestComplete, I set the program I wish to test as a TestedApps using the directory path as seen from the client VM (\\.host\Shared Folders\VMShare\Test\<program file>).
I save the project and start TestExecute as administrator. I open the project file and run the test from TestExecute.
However, the results end in failure with the message:
"Unable to run "<program name>"
"Possible reasons:
- TestComplete is running without administrator privileges.
- The command-line arguments specified for the application are invalid:
[n\a]
- The working folder path is unavailable or does not exist:
\\.host\Shared Folders\VMShare\Test\"
Using Windows Explorer I am able to access the folder path using the unc path.
I am using TestExecute version 8.50.618.11 and TesComplete version 8.20.538.7
Is there something I am forgetting or is this a limitation?
