TestComplete Quick Checkpoints not working correctly

Question

I’m currently new to TestComplete and I’m following the simple record web tests but I’m finding that the quick checkpoints do not function as expected. The checkpoints do not seem to be able to zero in on the element on under the cursor. In fact the red outline window does not seem to go any deeper into the page than the Chrome legacy window. I’ve configure the Chrome browser as specified in the documentation but to no avail.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

TestComplete (web) – 15.40.421.7 x64

Chrome - 99.04.4844.84 64 bit

Chrome SmartBear Test extension – 14.0.0 and is configured correctly

Actually it is the SmartBear sample site that I'm using but same behavior is seen on any web site. site&nbsp;https://services.smartbear.com/samples/TestComplete15/smartstore/&nbsp;

This sounds like Chrome 99.04 is not supported by TC 15.40...
Assuming that, as you are saying, all required documented setup has been done, I would create Support ticket via the&nbsp;https://support.smartbear.com/testcomplete/message/&nbsp;form.
