- setherNew ContributorI am also seeing execution time double in our tests. Our tests target an installed Delphi application with extensive use of Find and FindChild. NameMapping is in use on the process object.

when you say execution time doubled, which TC version was the basis? In other words, which version have you switched from, to install 9.1?
Chris:
Thanks for mentioning that case! That problem was resolved in TestComplete 9.10, according to our records. Our tests do not demonstrate any time difference between Sys.Process and Sys.Browser. What are the timings for you in version 9.10 now, if you compare these two statements?
Seth:
Thank you for sharing your feedback! We would be extremely interested to learn more on your scenario.
In addition to what Sergei asked, could you send to Support the execution logs you are comparing? Would be great to get the project as well, so we can analyze the test logic. If the files are too large to send via e-mail, just open a case with us mentioning this thread, and we will provide you with a secure FTP link to upload the files. Thanks!- culisseContributorThe performance issue has not gone away in Version 9.1. My execution times are still doubled compared to running my tests with 8.7. I've had to uninstall 9.1 again and re-install 8.7 and the problem goes away. My case should NOT be closed.
Hi Chris,
Thanks for letting us know about this. Let us work directly via e-mail to investigate the issue, and find a resolution. We will contact you shortly.- ahmed_danielOccasional ContributorHi,
I have the same performance issues with tc 9.1.
The object browser hangs at certain places within a tree. I have to kill the process to revive tc.
Name mapping is extremely slow and execution is even slower.
Thanks,
Hi Ahmed,
Would you please try using version 9.20? We've had some performance-related improvements done in this version, specifically in regards to Name Mapping.
It may also appear that you are having a situation that was not fixed in version 9.20. So, if this version does not work faster for you, please contact TestComplete Support ( http://support.smartbear.com/message/?prod=TestComplete ) - we have a patch for you to try with version 9.20.- frogen_hyourinmOccasional ContributorOk this is exactly the same problem i'm facing in TC 10 trail version.
After the first test, the test execution goes very very slow and doesn't run at all.
Has it been fixed by any patch or updates? - TanyaYatskovskaSmartBear Alumni (Retired)Hi Shiva,
The issue you faced can have a different cause. I would suggest that you create another thread and provide more details: what test you are executing, what type of application you are testing, etc.

I'm testing web applications.
