TestComplete 8 hanging when highlight on screen button is clicked

Hi Folks



I am using TC 8 and when I have the "object does not exist" message I go to the Mapped objects section and try highlight the object on screen but the applicaion just hangs and no further interaction is possible until I kill it. Memory usage is reporting 183,944K.



The machine it is running on is high spec so I doubt that is to blame.



Any thoughts?

    Guys,



    This sees to happen when I use the object browser and click the highlight on screen button, I am working on a remote server and it is casuing the session to crash!



    Any help?

    Hi Sean,


     


    Which exactly TestComplete 8 version are you using? If it's not v. 8.70, I'd suggest that you update to it. Also, please try working around the problem by applying tips from the Automated Test Performance Tips article.


     


    Besides that, could you please check whether the problem can be reproduced in TC 9.10?
