TC 9.2 in Windows 8.1 (WPF objects are not identified in Object Browser)

Hi Guys,



I have Test Complete 9.2 installed on a machine with Windows 8.1 and activated.

It is having issue with identifying WPF objects as Window objects in the Object Browser.



Basically, the issue is similar to the thread below but I still couldn't find a workaround for this.

    Hi,


     


    TestComplete 9 doesn't officially support Windows 8.1. So, we cannot guarantee that everything will work correctly on this OS.


    This support was added to TestComplete 10. If you haven't used TestComplete 10 yet, you can try updating to the latest TestComplete 9 version - v. 9.31. Perhaps, this will make some changes.

    Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, we only have the license support up to TC 9.2. Perhaps we should just use earlier version of windows since there's no alternative way for TC 9.2 work properly in Windows 8.1
