How to Open Excel Viewer document

Hi everyone,

Is there a way to work with Excel Viewer in TestComplete?

The computer which executes my tests does not have Excel, so I installed Excel Viewer on it (it's free).

Hi Pierrick,

Do you actually use Excel Viewer in your tests, or do you just need to read/write to Excel files? You can work with Excel files programmatically without having Excel installed:

Read Excel files as databases

Write to Excel files without having Office installed

Hi Helen,

Yes I found this solution using ADO, reading the Excel file as a database. I don't need to write in it, just read. So this solution should be good.
