Execution in Chrome much slower than IE

Question

I had automated tests created in IE that took 3 minutes. I have since converted these to work with Chrome instead. The tests now take 12mins.

Is there a reason for this? I havent changed anything only reference to IE to Chrome

Also forgot to mention, I upgraded from V9 to V10.40 as it supports Chrome. Maybe its a TC10 issue?

We are having similar experience. I believe because TC and TE communicate to &nbsp;Chrome via a plug-in it is slower. SmartBear needs to look into improving the performance of this plug-in. FireFox also uses a plug-in but is SUPER FAST.

I disabled some extensions and still very slow. I cannot test on IE as our application no longer support IE. Any ideas from smartbear?

When you say "some", how many did you disable?

When I went from TC9 to TC10, Chrome performance went down the toilet. I did get it back, but only after disabling ALL extensions except those the project actually needed.

For a web test using Chrome, I think only 3 or 4 are actually required.
