Activate License - TC 9.10 shuts down my tested applicaiton

Hi,



    Not sure if anyone has same experience... My company has Floating License of Test Complete 9.10. I installed the EXE and I can run it without any issue. However, when I ran my tested application and recorded a script, it always shuts down my tested application! Question 1: does this because I didn’t activate my TC?


   When I tried to activate my TC from Help menu -> Activate License, there are only two options: Automatic activation and Manual activation. Obviously both are not the right step for me. I need to switch to Floating License... Question 2: how can I do this?

    The behavior you describe isn't related to the fact whether you have activated the license on the problematic computer or not. I'd suggest that you try using TestComplete 9.20 (the latest TC version) to check whether the problem persists.


     


    As for the license, if you can launch TestComplete, it means that the product obtains the license somewhere in your network (a Floating User license might be activated on one of your computers). You can check that by opening this page and looking at the Location column.
