TestComplete - Network Suite - Host Verification Failure
Hello - As I am trying to find a solution to this issue myself I thought I would branch out and try to tap the infinite pool of knowledge the people in this community have. Problem is I cannot get a networked host machine to get verified successfully when I click Verify on the Host tab in my Network Suite of my Master Project . See screenshot attached for error returned. Supporting info, e.g., setup: the Host machine is in our network and I can connect to it via RDP with no issues. Please see image for specific details Ive setup in TC. Any help is appreciated.5.7KViews0likes17CommentsThe window was destroyed during method execution.
A weird error appears when i start my network-suite-jobs. After opening the application on the remote machine, testcomplete/testexecute should press a button on the main menu, but then it stops the testing (from my sight without a reason). The strange thing is, that this is happening randomly - sometimes everything works fine, but from time to time this weird error comes up (only on two from ten tests): "The window with the handle 0x0001042e does not exist. Most likely, this error occurred because the tested object (window or control) or its parent object was deleted or recreated during the method call or before it. For instance, the window could be destroyed or recreated after you stored the object reference to a variable and before you called the object method through this variable. If the object is recreated, then to avoid the error, check the object's Exists property before calling the method, and if the object does not exist, obtain a reference to the new object." Tested object: Aliases.xxx.DesignPointDlg_Gas_Comp (Sys.Process('xxx').VCLObject('DesignPointDlg'))Solved4.8KViews0likes3CommentsTestComplete Stuck on "Synchronization <internal>"
Recently I added 20 agents in network suites for distributed testing. I checked the individual machines to verify and run a test routine from the script successfully. But when I run the whole network suites for some of the agents an error message is logged on. The message is Cannot run the remote project And those agents stopped and the other agents get stuck on "synchronizing <internal>". "Cannot run the remote project" error is completely random for the agents. TestComplete version is: 14.20 TestExecute version is 14.10 for some agents and 14.0 for some others. Can anyone please help to resolve this issue?Solved3.7KViews0likes6CommentsAdvanced TestComplete SmartBear Academy class!

I have a script which calls a lot of tests from other scripts, lets call this a master script. I have around 8 master scripts which can contain anywhere from 20 to 80 individual tests. I have distributed testing set up and I have my different master scripts as my tasks so instead of having to call loads and loads of tasks per job I just need to call the one master script for that particular job. The problem is my results dont reflect the amount of tests actually ran. Since I only run 8 master scripts thats all it says actually ran, instead of the 200+ it should say. Is there any setting or way to have my results display the actual number of tests ran without having to have a load of tasks in each jobs in place of a master script? The first image is what our results look like and the second is a small example of what I mean by master script where its one script calling all related tests.Solved2.2KViews0likes3CommentsGetRowWithCellText method for Grid
Hi, I am working on an application which has a documents Grid. The grid has more than 10000 rows, we have option to filter but even on filtering the row no of specific row does not change eg, my intended row to work on is at 105 position, if i apply filter and get only 2 visible rows, the row no of intended row still shows as 105. Is there any method in testcomplete which can return us row no of gird using searching specific unique text like we have a method in UFT as GetRowWithCellText("String_Text") ?2.2KViews0likes3CommentsDetaching events in remote tests
Is it possible to detach an event in a test running on a remote host? More precisely: - I'm using OnNetVarChange event to trigger some event on slave project - The event handler should be called only by master project I ve added the command Event.EventName.DetachFromTestComplete() at beginning of slave routine, but apparently it does not prevent the event handler to be executed on the slave. I'm using TestComplete v11.30 , Python script. Best Regards, Giovanni2.1KViews0likes6CommentsTC 12.3 Distributive Testing: Verify Slave Hosts fails
Win7 - 64bit - TC 12.3 being used: TestComplete Users/Community, I have been using TestComplete for many years now and I am finally getting a chance to look into using Distributive Testing. I have an automation infrastructure of physical desktops and some VMs that I use. For the time being, I have pulled up the Distributive Testing Demo and Tutorial to try to setup a working example. Following what appears to be an out dated Tutorial, and guessing on what I need to fill in under my Slave project for the Hosts, I am getting the dreaded 'Verification failed' : Unable to create a user session on the remote computer. I have the following filled out: Name Address: contains an IP# Login Mode: Automatic (RDP Session) Domain: filled out User name: filled out Password: filled out I have gone through the Verification Failed. problems With User Accounts many times. I am missing one little piece to configure something here to get this to Verify so I can proceed. :( I believe all the ports are correct that need to be used. I have used: - ProcessExplorer.exe for some of this port verification - netstat used - checking the WinReg locations - Group Policy checks When performing the Verify, if logged into the remote physical desktop, I am logged off so something is happening at this point. I have used VNC to watch the physical desktop at the Ctrl-Alt-Del window screen to log in when performing the Verify action. No action seen on the part of what Verify is suppose to do. I can log into the auto physical desktop which I mainly use for TestComplete execution. Can someone please provide me with some guidance here on what I could be missing or other items to check? The only last mystery that could be there is something on the company network blocking me??? I don't think this is the case, but a possibility. Regards,Solved2KViews0likes2Comments
