I want to use those scripts in a different Project suite I can import project into a suite.... and see those Varibles in that project.. However .... 1) I can't use those Project Var in another Project... ie Set Var 2) I can't use other project Scripts (python) in another Project... ie. Run Script Routine What am I missing ?? Using Project Scripts and Variables in other projects Hi All I've been tryong to read the Doc and they ate not making any sence... I'm trying to implement TestRail into my tests... So I have a Common Project Suite that has a TestRailProject with 2 Python scripts. These Python scripts make use of Project declared Variables. I now want to make use of this TestRail script (inc. varibles) in a different Project Suite. How do I do this. ?? I was hoping to at to the Keywords UI 'Run Script Routine' and 'Set Variable Value' for my TestRail script and Varibles. I have found that I can import the scripts per Project... but I have to do that for ALL Projects.... for 8 or so projects... errmmm.. These Imported scripts loose the referemnce to the original project Variable.... errrm... So looking for recommended and workable ways of using out of project scripts & vars Thanks in advance ( ?? does the beta 14.4 have improvements in this area ?? ) SolvedRe: Python 3.7 support Hisonya_m The only solution I would was for us to recompile our Lib against Python 3.6. This worked... buth then I fell into the trap of only being able to run it once... every subsequent run throws error. I found another post about this .. something about Com instances and found no workaround. :( I'm looking into running the python externally and feeding back responses into TC... This is giving hard ache also, may just end up running this particular suite of tests out of TC. If TC becomes Python3.7 and I don't have to fight the Com Instances issue; then I can return this test suite back to TC Thanks Re: Project Suite 'home page' Thanks for this. I've just added this as a Feature Request Project Suite Home Page TestComplete has its own HomePage... Contains links to recents Projects etc.. Please ADD a way of allowing each Project Suite to have a Home Page / 'read me' page? We need to have a page that links Exectution Prerequsits, Project Jiras, Confluence pages, Test Info etc.. At the moment I've had to include a Manual Testing Project (Defaulted) and added Test Case with this info... Update Python Engine to 3.7 Python depenencies are currntly against Python3.6 However our librarys are complied against Python3.7 (We have ti use this becuse of security enhancenents in Python3.7 over 3.6) Please can you include this python update in next release Project Suite 'home page' Hi All TestComplete has its own HomePage... Contains links to recents Projects etc.. Is there anyway of modifying this to all each Project Suite to have a 'read me' page? We need to have a page that links Exectution Prerequsits, Project Jiras, Confluence pages, Test Info etc.. At the moment I've had to include a Manual Testing Project (Defaulted) and added Test Case with this info... but links do not work.. any help on this ? Thanks SolvedPython 3.7 support We internally have produced a product that has a Python library based on 3.7.3 (all dlls are compiled aginst 3.7.3) I've been struggling taking my standlone Python 3.7.3 scripts to work in Test Complete. After banging my head against a brick wall I found out that installing python 3.6 locally causes the same issue.. Hence TestComplete does not work. So I'm after a TestComplete Python 3.7 update... ie. replacement of the 'aqPyScript36.dll' and Python36 folder. (TestComplete included python3.6 was complied in 2016!!) can anyone help.? Solved
