I need to update to 14.80, I have the company ID, how can I get access to the executable? How do i download the executable where can i download the executables? I am not able to turn on autoupdate for security reasons. SolvedSave full path to pjs folder so its machine independent I test several products that are launched from different places such as a script called by bamboo, a test started from QAComplete or running the TestComplete app on my PC. The drives, paths and filenames are different for each project on our PCs as well as those on our servers. Examples follow. PC1 proj1 =C:\BASE\1_H\1H\x1.pjs PC1 proj2 =C:\BASE\1_H\1H\y1.pjs PC1 proj3 =C:\BASE\2_H\2H\z1.pjs PC1 proj4 =C:\BASE\2_H\3H\z1.pjs Server1 =C:\PROMOTE\1_H\1H\x1.pjs Server1 =C:\TESTING\1_H\1H\x1.pjs Server2 =D:\TESTING\1_H\1H\x1.pjs Question: How do I set Project.Variable.mypath to the <drive and folders> containing x1.pjsso it doesn't matter what machine I'm on. Assume that I did not launch the pjs from within that folder "D:\TESTING\1_H\1H" and testcomplete is in System %Path%. Assume at startup default for Project.Variable.mypath= c:\temp since all systems have it. Example: Run from commandline C:\>testcomplete.exe D:\TESTING\1_H\1H\x1.pjs. At startup: Project.Variable.mypath=c:\temp How do I assign persistent Project.Variable.mypath=D:\TESTING\1_H\1H\ In persistent project variables, can I define A as %Project.Variable.mypath%\A.txt Or do I need to build them once the directory has been defined using the function setVariableValue(Project.Variables.A, %Project.Variable.mypath%\A.txt) Copying a project I want to use the same basic project with the same variables throughout all my projects. If icopyC:\BASE\2A\z1.pjs to C:\BASE\2B\z1.pjs I need it two switch from2A to 2B without all the error messages, since all the folders will be the same. Since it seems to be hardcoded to C:\BASE\2A, can I edit one of the files changing 2A to 2B before I run TestComplete? Re: How to write a test case that requires TestComplete to access and retrieve text from an e-mail I have a similar issue. I was using outlook, and it was mostly accurate, however, I would be interested in a more robust solution. Would you mind sharing how you solve this using the outlook rest-api and which requests worked for you. Thank you When QAC runs TestComplete it shows Failed. I created a Testcomplete Test#A inc:\some\directory\A.pjs test passed In QAC I defined a Test I added Automation tab to run test #A - in testcomplete - on computer#450 - run in place - where test to run = A.pjs - where local path = c:\some\directory\ in QAC, the test result shows Failed I removed everything except return(true) from Testcomplete Test#A inc:\some\directory\A.pjs ran it again and the QAC test result shows Failed I need to import into QAC test sets(csv) from ALM that have attachments I am importing test sets from ALM into QAC. many of these test sets have attachements which I've extracted into files on my local hard drive. I have a csv file that I'm using to import these tests, but I don't see how I can import the attachements. TestComplete Licenses Our team is using testcomplete 14.0, but I want to upgrade to 14.20. Do i need new licenses for 14.20 or are they interchangeable? SolvedRe: Installing TestAgent we are waiting to get the software certified so the admins can install it for us.
