qacomplete doesn't launch testcomplete15

please tell me how to get qacomplete 12.80 to launch testcomplete15 instead of testcomplete14.  Do we need a new version of testAgent?

these things didn't work:

I removed testcomplete14 from the system env variable Path. 

i stopped the testcomplete14 service.

there is a post for this, but the links don't take me to the solution.
