Qt6-Objects are not recognized

Hello,

After Qt6.5-Upgrade of the software any Qt-Objects are not recognized by TestComplete (15.54, neuest at this moment) any more.

The TestComplete Tests worked with the software with Qt6.2 or Qt5 without problem.
Is there any way to make it work, other than waiting for TestComplete update?
We are also wondering if we can find the Qt6.5(LTS)-Support plan somewhere.

Thank you.

rraghvani Thank you for your post!
According to the page "Qt ver. 5 and 6 by Digia, Qt (32-bit and 64-bit Qt applications are supported)"
and no further details or plans are given yet, unfortunately.
On the page Testing Qt Applications - Overview | TestComplete Documentation   I found "TestComplete supports testing Qt applications that are built using a Qt-supported LTS version (5.15 and 6.2)",
so is there no wonder that Qt6.5-Objects (complete software) are currently not at all recognized !?

  • Any updates on this.  QT 6.2 is getting pretty outdated and is no longer going to be supported by QT soon.    QT 6.5 is the long term support version.  Will TC be updated soon to support this.

  • We urgently need support for QT 6.5.7 controls in TestComplete/TestExecute. QT is already on version 6.9 as of this request, while the latest QT version supported in TestComplete/TestExecute has stalled at 6.2, several years old.

Keeping up to date with latest (LTS) controls versions for widely used controls libraries such as QT should be a TOP release roadmap priority for a UI test product!

We have invested significant effort into creating TestComplete-based ATPs on our applications, and have been impressed by its capabilities, but at the current rate of QT controls support updates we will need to leave TestComplete behind soon, as its ability will be able only to effectively test Legacy versions of our desktop solutions.

    Please help/escalate!
