HI
I feel it is because of the auto wait timeout, try increasing the auto wait timeout to a larger value, you can find it in "Tools > Current Project Properties > Playback > Auto wait Timeout"
I hope this answered your question
can you show us the message within the details tab of the step that failed out?
if its an object recognition error, what are you trying to do with that object in question?
when the test errors out at that step, and when you navigate into the application under test, what state is it in?
is the object that youre trying to interact with even active? is it even in the prerequisite state for the object in question to be available to your end users/testcomplete to interact with?
Could it be auto-wait time was too short?

additionally, to what @abishekhari007 has provided, in the setting below the auto-wait timeout, there is also a "delay between events" and you can put a modest value like 150ms, and that could also help as well.
