We are using test complete version 12 and I am trying to add tests to be run on edge browser but we get the error:
test complete according to the specified parameters, the required browser is microsoft edge but it is not installed or not supported.
I have installed edge and also added the smart bear extension.
Does anyone know if edge is supported in test complete 12 and if yes what version do we need to use.

Yes here it just says
Microsoft Edge (both 32- and 64-bit versions)
But nothing about the version.
This Features Added to TestComplete 12.6 mentions,
"Support for Chrome 69, Firefox 60, 61, and 62, and for Edge 42 (comes with Windows 10 April 2018 Update). You can now create automated functional web tests on pages opened in these versions of web browsers."
We are using Test Complete version 12.42.3048
Here are the "new" features for that TestComplete version
For Edge it mentions "the version that comes with Windows 10 Fall Creators Update" which says it's Edge HTML16.
