Using TestComplete 8.50.618.7 with Qt 4.3.5 possible?

Hi,


recognizing Qt controls is essential for being successful with TestComplete.


I am using TestComplete 8.50.618.7 and try to test our Qt application with Qt version 4.3.5, which is an old Qt version.


Looking at this page:

http://smartbear.com/support/downloads/testcomplete/qt-modules/

There is no supporting modules for Qt 4.3.5 in general and especially not for TestComplete 8.50.618.7


Is there a possibility to get support for Qt 4.3.5 and if not, is there a workaround for that problem?

    Hi,


    Currently, TestComplete does not support testing Qt controls version 4.3.5. However, we can register your request to implement support for this version in our database. Would you like us to do that?

    Sure, thanks. Let you know that we have several TestComplete licenses and this fact is a drawback for us.

    I'm sorry for the misleading information. I have contacted our developers, and they said that they are not planning to create a module that provides support for Qt version 4.3.5 as this version is too old.


    So, in order to test your application with TestComplete, you need to upgrade the controls the application uses. For more information on what version of Qt controls TestComplete supports, please refer to http://smartbear.com/support/downloads/testcomplete/qt-modules/.
