Unable to retrieve the worksheet list from the specified workbook. - ERROR load Excel

Hi i have problem with load Excel in TestComplete. When i open data excel file pop up dialog with error. ..Unable to retrieve the worksheet list from the specified workbook.... (on picture)  Please ...

    Solution. You must uninstall Windows Update:

     

    Windows7/2008              - KB4041681, KB4041678
    Windows 10                       - KB4041676
    Windows 2012                  - KB4041693, KB4041687

     

    or:

     

    1. Find prior version (4.0.9801.0) of msexcl40.dll.
    2. Place in another directory. They suggest the application directory, but since in the next step you will modify registry to point to this older version, it can probably go anywhere.
    3. Update registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Jet\4.0\Engines\Excel\win32 to point to the location from step 2.

What happens if you try opening that workbook from outside of TestComplete?  Any dialogs come up?

No, ONLY via testcomlete. Yesterday was ok vůz today...pop Up error :(

    Translate the dialog for me... there's verbage there that I don't understand.  That might shed some light as to what's going on.

     

    Also... what changed... it was working fine yesterday, not today... something changed.

      Iam today cant doing any change.. in my PC..

        Did you happen to update to Test Complete v12.4 recently?

         

        If so it might be a driver issue:

         

        Differences Between TestComplete 64-bit and 32-bit

        •  To keep your data-driven tests working, use data drivers of the same bitness as TestComplete. For example, if you use ODBC drivers to connect to data sources, then, for TestComplete x64, you must use the 64-bit version of these ODBC drivers. If you read data from Excel sheets or CSV files, you must install the 64-bit version of Microsoft Office 12.0 Access Database Engine OLE DB Provider. Otherwise, you will get an error like “The needed data source driver is not installed or is not configured properly...”. If you have the 64-bit version of Microsoft Office 2010 or later installed on your computer, you might already have this data provider. If not, you will have to download and install it from the Microsoft website. The provider is part of Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010 Redistributable x64:

      I have restored the windows 7 system and can not see the dialogue anymore. Can it update windows?
