You need to have, at least, the Team Explorer (which is free) version of Visual Studio downloaded and installed on the workstations that you want to integrate with TFS for source control. If you're using the Git repositories in TFS, then it's a matter of downloading and configuring a git client on the workstations. See https://support.smartbear.com/testcomplete/docs/working-with/integration/scc/git/overview.html
