'Text Recognition' Plugin

Are 'Caption' and 'wText' object properties reading part of the "Standard" TestComplete Version or we need the "Enterprise"

with the 'Text Recognition' Plugin?

Can I try this plugin on my trial version?

    Thanks, will wait for an official response from SmartBear so, as in the Trial is not specified if you have the 'standard' or 'enterprise' features.

    Hi Ed,



    The TestComplete trial contains TestComplete Enterprise's features. So, you can request the trial here to try using the Text Recognition technology in TC.

    oK so I have the Trial/Enterprise installed on my VM:

    so with the Standard Version I can't read any 'Caption' and 'wText/Text' property from any objects?

    You can, but you can't use TextRecognition.  "Caption" and "wText" are object properties.  "Caption", I believe, is available for almost all objects in an application.  wText may only be available for objects of "Open" applications.  These two properties are unrelated to TextRecognition.  TextRecognition is used to identify objects, not by their code object properties, but simply by the visible text on screen.
