tcUIAHost.exe process crashed

Hi all

We recently migrated our TestComplete setup from a dedicated server to a cloud PC environment, while also upgrading the TestComplete version. We use TestComplete to automate testing of our desktop application.

Since the migration, we’ve been experiencing an issue where, during test execution, TestComplete intermittently fails to recognize UI objects and throws an error indicating that the tcUIAHost.exe process has crashed. After restarting the cloud PC and the application under test, object recognition works again temporarily, but the issue eventually reoccurs with the same error.

Could anyone advise on the possible cause of this issue and recommend how it might be resolved?

Thanks

What version of TestComplete are you using?

Are you developing your scripts on the Cloud PC? From what I remember, TestComplete doesn't work very well when it's installed on a VM. I'm guessing it's the same behaviour for Cloud PC. However, that was an old version of TC!

I suggest you get your detailed crash information of tcUIAHost.exe, and open a Support Ticket.

    Hello G-wagon,
