TestComplete cannot recorgnize applet's submenu

I've downloaded TestComplete and trying it out if it will work with one of our applications. 

I tried recording a test and went well until running the test. For some reason the submenu is not recognized by the tool and displaying some undecipherable character in the value field. I've attached the screenshot of the test.

 

Do I need to install any add ins for this issue? Hope to hear any advice.

    Hi,

     

    It looks like you are testing web application that uses some Java-based component. In general, TestComplete supports this scenario, but some configuration might be required. http://support.smartbear.com/testcomplete/docs/app-testing/desktop/java/index.html might provide you with the needed details.

    Also, I would recommend you to contact your developers and ask them to tell you about this Java component (does it have any specifics in implementation, how it is created, etc.).
