TestComplete 8. Activation.

Hello.


At attempt of registration TestComplete 8 the message is shown:

    Hi Ilya,



    This is a known problem. To correct this, follow the steps below:



    1. In Internet Explorer, open this page (ignore the certificate error if shown).



    2. If it is not opened, check the Internet connection with the network administrator.



    3. If it is opened fine, check whether your network provides access to the Internet through a proxy server/firewall that requires user authentication. If this is the case, ask your network admin to provide direct Internet access for your machine to complete the activation procedure or use the manual activation procedure (see the Manual Activation Procedure help topic for more information).

    Hi, i followed your steps but it doesn't work even thought my Internet connection is OK.

    Sorry, my facing error is as below:



    Server returned managed error.

    Error code: hasp_act_activate, 3513



    I don't know what i should continue to do, please help me to resolve the problem. Thanks

    When did you get this error? Could you please try to activate your license again?

    Error code: hasp_act_activate, 3010    while installing TC8.0 demo version.

    In David's first reply above, he recommends going to a particular website link. (David: " This is a known problem. 1. In Internet Explorer, open this page.")



    As of November 2012, that is a broken link. 



    If you are upgrading from TC8 to TC9, the license manager program MUST be upgraded as well. The old TC8 license manager will not work.



    As I had to figure this out on my own, I wanted to post it here so others would know.



    DAVID (or other Forum Administrators) - you may want to edit your post above so that it no longer contains incorrect information. Because the info was no longer correct, I ended up on a wild goose chase. 



    Good luck to anyone running into the error:     hasp_act_activate 3010.
