Does TestComplete recognize different objects in your application? What are their types?

Tanya my offices is an as/400 shop but we don't use TC on the as/400 because we didn't think it would work so this question is of interest to me. We use TC to test our web tools.
I think the type of object is not as important at this point as just finding out.... has anyone ever successfully ran TC on an as/400 box?
Here's a high level overview of an as/400 (nowadays it is called iSeries, old timers --such as my office-- call it an as/400).

Most of the terminal emulator apps will not work with test complete. What are you trying to test on it though? If you justt need to do data vericiation or called store procedurs you can always do that with SQL and an ADO connection to the iSeries.

Ok, that helps. We use emulators.
I don't need a script to call a program or job, something I can do in a millisecond. So I'll stick with using TC for testing our web apps.
