SmartBear workaround for running tests with minimised RD windows doesn't work

I want to run my tests with minimised RD windows so that I can continue working on my desktop -

I have tried the workaround of creating regedit entry on RD machine mentioned here,

But that workaround doesn't work and my tests are still failing with error "desktop is invisible". I'm using TestComplete v10.

    You might need to restart that RD machine before the registry edit takes effect.... or log off and reconnect.  I've used that before in the past and it has worked for me.

      I've used it successfully as well.
