Hello! SafeNet has a Sentinel Customer Community specifically for customers. The customer discussion forum is full of tips and support concerning SafeNet Sentinel products. I went ahead and posted your question on the forum, and here is the response.
Hello and Greetings from SafeNet,
Hope you're keeping well.
As per your query, may I know if you have any Antivirus/Firewall running on your system ? If yes, then try disabling the Antivirus/Firewall (make sure it does not start up automatically on system restart) and then check if the Sentinel HASP LM Service (hasplms.exe) stops or not.
Also, we can try performing 'Clean Boot' on your computer using the steps provided below.
To perform a clean boot on a computer, follow these steps.
1. Click Start, type msconfig in the Start Search box, and then press ENTER.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or click Continue.
2. On the General tab, click Selective Startup.
3. Under Selective Startup, click to clear the 'Load Startup Items' check box.
4. Click the Services tab, click to select the Hide All Microsoft Services check box, and then click Disable All
except for "Sentinel HASP LM Service."
5. Click OK.
6. When you are prompted, click Restart.
7. After the computer starts, check whether the problem is resolved.
Kindly update me with your findings.
Thanks and Regards,
Tanuj Kumar
