So i noticed that Testcomplete object spy can't point to screen if the Desktop screen is in read only mode.
is there an alternative or am i missing something here?
Note:- Don't tell me to pick object when screen is not in read only mode. as i have to fetch text only when it is read only mode.

it is an desktop application
and one of the values in the page is always in read only/ view mode
when I am pointing object spy tool to that object it doesn't recognise it.

Yes Object spy tool is able to detect other controls in application in other pages.
Not able to detect on only page which is in read only mode
