Network suite is letting test complete to get in hanged (Not Responding) state when we try to add base path on slave machine even though the verification went successful for the host server.

Network suite is letting test complete to get in hanged (Not Responding) state when we try to add base path on slave machine even though the verification went successful for the host server.

Steps to reproduce :-

1. I created network suite on slave machine.
2. Added host and verified it from the slave server and verification was successful.
3. Now when I try to add the base path testing complete is getting hanged and moving to not responding state.
4. Also once I verify it and again if I try the connect the same I gives a communication error.

Environment Details

Operating System :- Windows 7 professional 32-bit operating system
Test Complete Version :- 9.20

    Hello!

    I had the same problem, when name of host contains point ("." i mean) and login mode set automatic (console session). 

    Check this values. I'll try to help you, if i can, couse sometimes i have many problems with networksuites too.

    HI,

    not sure if this issue relates to your issue;

    I cannot add hosts to the Hosts editor of TestComplete (v. 9.30),

    I have a VM, which I can ping to successfully and can log in to it successfully using Remote Desktop, however as soon as I do a Verify action in TestComplete the response is "invalid address".. (see attached screenshot)





    Do you have any idea what this could be?

    I have the exact same problem now (my previous communication issue was caused by blocking firewall rules). :-( :-( Environment: Windows 7 pro 32 bit, TestComplete version 9.30

    Is the testComplete service running on the remote computer by administrator?
