Network suite is letting test complete to get in hanged (Not Responding) state when we try to add base path on slave machine even though the verification went successful for the host server.

I had the same problem, when name of host contains point ("." i mean) and login mode set automatic (console session). 

Check this values. I'll try to help you, if i can, couse sometimes i have many problems with networksuites too.
