Network suit setup problems

Please clarify exactly which verification fails: host or task verification. Also, please post here images of all error messages you get.





BTW, do you use the latest version of the tool which is TestComplete 8.10? If you don't, please install this version and let me know if the problem occurs with it.

I've posted the picture of the error. 



The Domain, Name and Password should all be correctly set up, those are the ones that I use to log into the machine, local and remotely. I know that the machine that I try and communicate with is the right one, if I turn on the firewall full, it will not communicate with it at all.



The host have been added manually as the host list isn't populated and I can't use the fill from network option.



And yeah I just updated to 8.10. 



Any other questions I will be happy to answer.

When you are trying to connect to the slave computer via RDC manually, do you see any additional or uncommon dialogs besides the default login prompt? If you do, could you please send images of these dialogs to us?





Also, do you have TestComplete 8 Service running on the remote machine?

When I log into the machine, it has the "please wait" and then "welcome" win 7 screen and then you are on the desktop, no error messages or anything like that. 



In the process view, there is TestCompleteService8.exe runing and TestExecute.exe both running.

Please try specifying the IP address of the slave computer instead of its name.





If this does not help, restart the slave computer before verifying the host. Please do not try logging to the host after it is restarted and before you try to verify it.

I've tried to restart the machine, without it being logged into any accounts and shifted the host address to being the IP instead of the name i get the same error.

When after login in I can still confirm that the testcompleteservice8.exe is running.

i think i may have a similar problem. In my case there is a corporate warning window that shows up before the user is prompted for the username and password....so test complete gets stuck....





Any ideas ?
