Mobile App testing

Hello TestComplete experts.

 

Before buy a testcomplete subscription I have few questions in my mind and want to clear, please help me.



1- Does the testcomplete works for iOS app that developed in titanium appcelerator?

2- Instrumentation is required for these iOS app?

3- I have two developers, One for Android and another for iOS. I am responisble to perform QA for mobiles apps. How many license we require?

4- Any license is require for apps instrumentation?

5- Is it possible to record a mobile app test along with web test.

    Please see my replies below:


    1- Does the testcomplete works for iOS app that developed in titanium appcelerator?


    Only Xcode 5 and 6 are currently supported in TestComplete.


     


    2- Instrumentation is required for these iOS app?


    You need to instrument your iOS app so that TestComplete could recognize it properly.


     


    3- I have two developers, One for Android and another for iOS. I am responisble to perform QA for mobiles apps. How many license we require?


    It's better to refer this question to our Sales team. Technically, if both testers work simultaneously, each of them should obtain the license. The Sales team can tell you more if you need the Floating or Node-User license.


     


    4- Any license is require for apps instrumentation?


    You will need to add the TestComplete Agent Library to the project of your mobile app. Please read the "Preparing iOS Applications" article and those related to get the detailed information.


     


    5- Is it possible to record a mobile app test along with web test.


    TestComplete supports testing of the WebView control for Android devices. For iOS devices, it's possible to use TestComplete's Virtual Browser feature. Please read the "Testing Mobile Web Applications" article for details.
