Personally I would suggest you uninstall McAfee altogether... Not only will it cause multiple issues in a test environment, it will also potentially block the Windows Script Host in situations where you need it. If you abnsolutely insist on having an anti virus on a testing machine, steer clear of McAfee, Norton, AVG, and Kaspersky... They are all way too aggressive and in my experience cause horrible slowdowns and problems. Avira seems to work fine here, so does MS Security Essentials.
You can remove McAfee Enterprise from your machine, and its agent, with the remover here:

http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/mcafee_consumer_product_removal_tool.html) to remove any traces and restore any changes that were made to the scripting host by McAfee.
The best anti-virus is just to pay attention to what you are doing, there is no substitute for common sense.
