Known Solution: TestComplete 9.0, Page object is not under Sys.Browser
Hi!
We have discovered a situation that creates a problem for TestComplete 9.0, and makes the Page object disappear from the children list of the Sys.Browser node.
PROBLEM DESCRIPTION
If you are disabling LCIE by creating the TabProcGrowth key, and the type of the key is STRING, the problem takes place.
As a result, you are not seeing the Page object among the children of the Sys.Browser node.
SOLUTION
Apply any of the following solutions:
- TestComplete 9 does not require that you disable LCIE. So, if you are testing with version 9, just delete the TabProcGrowth key from the registry location mentioned here.
- If you are still using an earlier version of TestComplete, and need the registry key, change the type of the key to DWORD - this will also fix the problem.
We are going to fix this issue in the next TestComplete 9 update, and the TabProcGrowth key will not affect TestComplete 9 functioning anymore.
