Hi Kyle,
Tests are perfectly recorded on the main monitor, as well as on another monitor on my computer. Are you running TestComplete as an Administrator? Also, please go through the "Testing Applications With TestComplete Under Windows Vista and Later Operating Systems" article.- kyle_mciverOccasional Contributorthanks for the article, i will check it out.
I'm not sure what is going on as I am not having the same errors as the rest of my team. We all have local admin rights on our boxs. - kyle_mciverOccasional ContributorI reviewd the article and have directed my team to run TC as administrator for the time being to see if that sorts any of their problems. however I don't think that will have much effect.
We are testing web pages and I do not believe the browsers are opening with elevated proiviledges. Additionally they can get clean playback some of the time. But there are a lot of cannot find object playback errors when recording in script or keyword mode. Keyword mode playback is VERY sensative and will only playback with limited to no success
Then on my machine I have very few playback erros of either script or keyword driven scripts. - kyle_mciverOccasional ContributorI'm going through the Testcomplete options and I see under Engines there is a setting for Java Bridge asking for the location of the Java VM.
Our web app is coded in Java. Is this something I need to set and coordinate with the SDK version that development is using?
Or is this only relevant for standalone JAVA apps and not web based pages like I am testing?
thanks
Mac
Hi Kyle,
Unfortunately, I do no clearly understand what is going on. Please post here two recorded simple scripts:
- the first one recorded on the main monitor;
- the second one recorded on the monitor that isn't marked as "Main".
- kyle_mciverOccasional ContributorSorry for the lapse, I've been out a few days.
What files exactly do you want posted?
