On April 8 2014 Google chrome was updated to: 34.0.1847.116 mSince then im having issue with recording/executing test with TC.The object in the web page can not be reconized. This makes the recording of new tests verry challanging. And the execisting tests all fail when executed (because the specfic object from test can not be found).Could you please inform me when a patch is due, that will solve this issue., Or help me with a work arround until a patch that will solve the issue has been released.

But on the other hand, I am sure that they *must* understand that these updates their sole risk. Hi All, I've consulted our R&D team - they told me that there shouldn't be any serious issue with the latest Chrome update: TestComplete 10.10 should properly recognize pages in Chrome 34 However, there is one note: make sure that TestComple Chrome extension v.10.10 is added to your browser: There is a possibility that v. 10.20 may be installed on the computer. To resolve this, please reinstall TestComplete. If the objects aren't recognized after this, please reinstall Chrome, as well.

Try this from this thread:"...A full uninstall and reinstall of Test Complete did not reinstall the correct extension version. What I ended up having to do was remove all of google's local cache on my machine by removing the:C:\Users\<yourusername>\AppData\Local\GoogleDirectory.Once this directory was gone Chrome reverted to it's initial state and had the proper Test Complete extension installed."

Make sure you get the correct windows user directory in C:\Users and also that you manually enable the extension again after the google directory is removed.I was able to get mine to work after performing all the steps mentioned here.Hope it works for you.Be sure to read this as well.

The Re-instalation for Chrome and TC did the job for me (i had to do 2 times for some strange reason) but after the second attempt i am able to select the objects again.I disabled the automatic chrome updates, because i dont want to this everytime chromes updates.

I have the correct TC extension for chrome and i just even tried to reinstal TC and Chrome but this does not solve the issue.

Im still not able to select objects.

Any other thoughts?

Removed google folder but the 10.10 extension keeps appearing.

I'll try to uninstall, reinstall and then remove google folder.

I had to reinstall and configure Chrome as well as remove and reinstall the TC plugin but mine does indeed appear to be working now.

I spoke too soon, while it technically works it's slow to the point of essentially being unusuable. It takes a noticeably long time to recognize objects and some objects it won't recognize at all. Keep in mind this is a project that just a few days ago was working wonderfully, now nothing works well despite no changes to my code whatsoever. I also tried recording a test (script) just for giggles and that doesn't work either, it just causes my HTML app to hang.

This is very frustrating.

Uninstall TestComplete

Uninstall Chrome

Delete chrome folder like Ryan said.

Install Chrome

Install TestComplete

Chrome works again! :D
