feature request

I would love an option that would allow test complete to save all changes to all project files test run.

    Hi Stephanie,

Are there any problems with File | Save All ?

If you are talking about running tests via command line - doesn't /SilentMode switch work for you?

I am talking about saving all when I run the tests within test complete. Anyt time you run the project, suite or an individual item or procedure.

I think you misunderstand. I must be being really unclear! Picture this workflow:

    - You edit a bunch of scripts, develop a bunch of tests in Test Complete.

    - You RUN the test to debug or whatever.

    - Test Complete crashes which is does very rarely, but it does happen.

All of the changes that you made are unsaved. If I did the same thing in many IDEs I have worked in in the past, as soon as you click the Play button (or any other user interface equivalent), the project can save all for you. I would like an option like that.

    Thanks for listening.

  • Hi Stephanie,

TestComplete autosaves the project before recording (if the Save before recording option is enabled) or playing tests. I suppose, you mean to save the project if it is modified during the test execution, right? We have a corresponding suggestion in our DB. I've increased its rating.
