External table is not in the expected format Error for .xls files

Hi, When using .xls file with DDT.ExcelDriver, qwe are getting an error "External table is not in the expected format". Can anybody provide any woraround for this? Thanks

Is the xls file encrypted with a password?

Or if the file was saved in xlsx format then use the ACE driver.
