Are there any messages in your error log as to why the test is getting stuck? The testcomplete log should provide a screenshot at the time of the error.
Also I would suggest taking a look at this link about working with TestComplete on in virtual machines as there are some important settings and suggestions:

How are you distributing the tests?
Are you using a CICD tool?
Is there any logs/console output ?
Does your app under test reside in the AWS environment?
