I read few articles and tech notes on how to save test result (SaveResultsAs) as HTML, MHT or XML, now if I need to
create a PDF file , how can I go about writing script to convert these format to pdf. The reason be the test result report
need to be in pdf format to be archived
I do know how to manually export the test result to pdf file , I need to do this however by script , "automate" it. :)

If you are a coder, you might be able to parse the XML to PDF using one of several code libraries available. I have done this with Java/Groovy in the past.
thankyou soccerjo. TC missing few things about on log files. I am running multiple test cases back to back and would like to capture log file content for each test case but there is no method to reset the log file at any time during execution of test cases, not very user friendly. :(

Can't you install a free pdf printing tool like "pdfcreator" to automate the printing ?
