convert recorded test to an exe?

We use .bat files to launch a test via TestExecute. Let me know if you need samples.

There is no way to compile a test into an executable file. You can use TestExecute to run tests on a machine where TestComplete is not installed. Please find information on TestExecute on this web page.

Hi, so is Test Execute another separate product to be purchased  apart from Test Complete or is Test Execute bundled automatically with Test complete when purchased?

Yes, TestExecute (TE) is another application (basically, just TestComplete's runtime engine with ninimalistic user interface) by AutomatedQA.

You are getting one free TE license when you purchase TC Enterprise. Additional TE licenses should be purchased separately.

we created a tool in vb which executes batch files in turn executes TC scripts.

When we deliver the scripts to our client, they just have to run oue exe for the tool we created.

TestComplete scripts cannot be executed without TestComplete or TestExecute installed on a machine. Could you please describe in detail exactly how your tool works?

Our tool is created in vb.net, it excecutes our TC scripts by invoking Test Complete through batch files.  The batch files has the path to the pjs/units -

 "C:\Program Files\Automated QA\TestComplete 7\Bin\TestComplete.exe" "path to pjs" /r /p:Project Suite name/u:Project name/rt:unit name/e



Apologies.... Looks like i did not read the question properly.. We do invoke test complete exe.. i dont think we can run the scripts without Test complete or TEst Execute.

You mentioned that you deliver your tests to your clients, but this is a violation of our license agreement. Could you please clarify this?

Oh.. Clients have TC as well.  We actually use our client's license.
