  • The error is specific to an ADO / ODBC connection being held open.

It may be another application that is holding the connections open.

This may sound cliche, but have you rebooted?

All the Ado connections are closed as far as I have seen.

The Error appears evertime I open. Even on restarting Testcomplete.

Can there be some other Issue ?

Have you added any new custom plug-ins?

You likely have something in your script that is opening numerous connections repeatedly then. Step through your test to see where this may be occuring.

I am also getting two more errors along with this on opening Testcomplete.

    may be they are realted.

    1. Testcomplete has encountered a problem in module tckddt.pls and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.(Attached screenshot).

    2. The type of elementyou are trying to add is Name mapping. An element of this type already exists.

The name mapping error is no more there. It was cause of Duplicate namemapping files.

    But the other two remains.

In regard to the first error message you can try reinstalling Test Complete, and upgrading to the latest version 10.20.

You may need to contact support if it persists.

    Hi Shruti,

I guess that the structure of your TestComplete project was damaged for some reason.

Let's check if you can successfully launch TestComplete from here: "C:\Program Files (x86)\SmartBear\TestComplete 10\Bin\TestComplete.exe" (Run as Administrator)

If TestComplete crashes as well in this case, contact the Support Team as Ryan suggested.
