Can we run Desktop UI test cases parallelly using test execute

Our current pack is designed in UFT and that takes lot of time for execution wherein parallel execution is not an option either. As the automation tool will throw an error if multiple instances of same application is opened.

So we are looking for an alternate solution. That’s where we came across Test Complete.

 

We would like to know whether we can we execute multiple test cases for our desktop based application parallelly to reduce the total execution time?

    Hi,

     

    TestComplete, like UFT, mimics actions of human user as close as possible. And as it is not possible for the human to press two different buttons in two different applications using one mouse (or enter text using one keyboard), likewise concurrent UI testing on the same machine is not possible with TestComplete.

    (Distributed concurrent testing is possible though (at a cost of additional licenses))
