Add derived class from screen object in object mapping properties

Hi.



I am trying to add derived class into Object Mapping properties of a TestComplete v 8.6 project.



The item I have selected from a screen object has the WndClass property equals to WinForms10.EDIT.app.*

Unfortunately, when I am trying to add it, i got a :

The selected object does not match the criteria of the "Microsoft Controls" group.



What are those criteria ?

Do you have any idea how I can solve this ?

    Hello Guillaume,


    Are you trying to add your class to the Microsoft Controls category of the Object Mapping settings? Actually, to make TestComplete recognize your control, you need to add its class name to the Edit box group of the Win32 Controls and Windows category.


    To find out to which category of the Object Mapping settings your derived class must be added, you need to locate the category that contains the class from which your class derived.


    The error message you got should have been more specific. We are going to fix it in one of the future product releases. Sorry for the inconveniences.
