Add a new items to a data grid.
Hello,
I have provided a screen shot of the area of WPF (.NET application) which is causing a difficulty in automation.
The problem is that it's a grid item that you can only edit the first time and once you enter the details, the grid is not editable.
I know that the Test Complete will throw back a warning such as "Object ID does not exist." But the issue is I cannot go and modify any objects as they are locked so the Automation tool Test Complete will think it's there though it's locked.
Now unfortunately I can't ask the Developers for the:
-Name & ClassNames when they developed their data grids. Because they use Dev Express controls which they've updated.
Would the solution here be not to automate such a grid which probably wouldn't be very practical for our purposes?
I would really appreciate thoughts on how to go forward on this matter.
With Kind Regards,
AAN.
